Handover

A concept design for a dedicated cultural pathway between Cherbourg and Murgon, prepared with Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council.

CHALLENGE

Give pedestrians, cyclists, prams and mobility scooters a safe way to travel between the two towns, and make the route a place for culture and rest.

APPROACH

The trail is delivered in stages. Stage 2 adds seating, signage and ground-cover planting at Pines Rest, a shaded vantage point under established pines, and later stages invite local artists to shape the route through colour and pattern.

OUTCOME

A staged concept that gives the council a clear path from safe connection to cultural trail.
